You almost have to be a ventriloquist, or on the paraquat, to keep pace with the ever changing fixture list and indeed the results. Games on, games off, games changed, keeping up is part of the journey.
What a journey it has been and what a journey it promises to be 'til May comes upon us. A couple of results we could have done without, no doubt about that. The TOOLSTATION looks as though it is bubling up nicely. Losing at Bris the day after Corsham lose to Melksham was not in the plan. Of course the six points from the North Devon trips were and how good they felt. Some of the stuff at Barum was top drawer, and the job well done at Sutts Bishop also. Can't speak for the Devizes game as not there but it could have been different by most accounts. But 3 - 0 is 3 - 0 in anyone's book and a long way to the 90 minutes.
Not so at Bris where a mininum point was the least we deserved. Credit to them for some stout, bordering on the desperate at times, defending and the wind assistance from whistle and flag but there was enough in the first and more than enough in the second - the home penalty box resembled a First Bus queue with no buses for long stretches in that second forty-five.
So there is a pack of us waiting to jump on Corsham and waiting for one or two to burst through on a real run. Hopefully we can embark on the similar run to earlier. No better time than today and the upcoming matches
Shame about the movement of Jukebox and Shax to pastures new and upward ? but such is life and we move on. We wish them well and always say remember from whence you moved and what you were part of. But that just opens opportunities for others and what this football club is all about is resilience in more than one way. Remember the class of '84 and building back to here. Maybe news soon on the other aspects of this adventurous season. Keep watching
