Very disappointing that the match last Saturday against Slough Town had to be postponed, but upon inspection later the downpour had left flooded areas and the ball would not travel across the ground. Not a good time of season to lose a game to the weather but better that than a lottery methinks. Every point is vital to the cause. Of course before today, and one of the earliest Easter's on record, we have visited Winchester City and hopefully brought home just rewards. But no easy game I suspect as those of you who remember a Vase game a couple of years ago. They were the one's with the love affair with the vase so termed !!

Today welcome to old rivals and neighbours Taunton Town. At least one score to settle after a poor performance at their place on Boxing Day, although they performed pretty well it has to be said in what was Ian Jones' first game in charge. Have since turned in a number of good results to climb the table and we will need all our mettle again. Just as it should be and a special air about a 'derby' without doubt. Expect a goodly number of visitors and plenty of recognisable faces most likely some who have figured in rival matches in the past. Mind you those were the days of three matches and hard grounds and invariably high winds and bouncing balls. God knows how high the current crop would have bounced on those guaranteed Easter rock grounds.

So, hopefully, a sizeable crowd and a season record will attend Fairfax Park and enjoy the offering. Our loyal bunch make sure you get behind the guys and influence the result in the best possible way. Let's hear you from beginning to final whistle.
