...........................................................................................................................................................

Welcome to everyone visiting Fairfax Park tonight and hoping no doubt to see a contest to rival those of the past A local derby where the form book goes out of the window and you can take nothing for granted Just ask the top-level be it Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield or Glasgow or down the scale at Spaxton and Nether Stowey and Stogursey Once the whistle goes the past means nothing though we will hope to continue the 'Samba' football which stood us in good stead again on Saturday Excellent result though one which may have contributed to Dave the Burnham Manager's departure If so a shame 'cause he is one of the characters and not enough about Enjoyed the repartee of last season Perhaps though getting blown to smithers on the welsh coast links is the way to get results Might have to try it again Continuing the theme you the crowd on Saturday were well worth a goal and please make it the same this evening I am sure Pricey will get a welcome back !!!

Looking forward we are at the point where we need to establish the consistency and gradually that is coming allied to some real quality again The prospect of some of the injuries returning to the squad also helps though a fight for places is assured with the way we have put some spells of our passing game together Relish the prospect

Quote for today from Sir Trevor Brooking "We don't have the depth of talent in the different age groups, which we should have with a 55 million population"

So where does the fault lie for that then Trev ?

Enjoy Hurf
the Saturday
