Here we are headlong into Easter with this Thursday evening game against Brcknell. One of the multi-cancelled efforts earlier and one of those we tried so hard to get on on a cold and frosty but really bright and sunny day. Alas to no avail as the man in the middle found a 10ft strip at the cow-shed end. Anyway no such problem tonight we trust as we welcome our visitors and also the company of Frances and family and friends as match sponsors. Fully appreciated as all the family have done already to our dear Patron's memory. Might just still be a play-off shout but cannot afford any slip-ups. Our dear neighbours would certainly not one in this game as the bottom of the table makes some ugly reading if you like claret and blue.
So let's all contribute to a decent game of soccer and both on the field and off it show the total encouragment it takes to win. The extra noise makes the difference time and again.
What of Tuesday's trip. The second leg is something to look forward to as that away goal could yet prove vital. Wait and see with some anticipation against a side who showed some bits of class to illustrate why they have lost so few all year. Also if the Referee would like to make his way to Somerset on a regular basis he is more than welcome - though he was excellent. Might like to think proves my point about not needing an assessor at every game - cause that's how he did it. If there was extra pressure you would not have known it ! Gave an opportunity to catch up on reading some old programmes aswell - more below. Well done to mine meeter and greeter Winston the away travel expert. All very smooth and a decent afternoon and evening had by all.
No quote today - just a message for under the bridge and MH. Yes we are fortunate to have some interesting contributions regularly in this epistle and does make interesting reading. As for this particular contribution - see it as a trip around Aintree rather than a stroll on the flat or even over hurdles for that matter !! Could always go back to the Bard.
