One win in the FAmous Cup and an extra tinge of interest. Revenge for that opening day defeat sure feels good and now sets up a mouth watering visit to Bideford. Always a good contest and some test but this year has some added spice now that TK has confirmed he's staying. Something good about that , most impotant that we keep going what has come alive in these early games not least the quality in the play and the resolution in defence that has brought the four clean sheets. Excellent jobs have been done and the competition is stronger than ever with those not in the side pressing to get back in. What an ideal situation to build from but, any team is only as good as the next result and that brings Welton here today.
Welton have started the campaign pretty well also and we will again need to be on our metal and play to the highest level. There is no doubting the quality of what is on offer as we continue what is a marathon not a sprint. Rome was not and this latest rennaisance will not be either. Luckily we all play a part. The work behind the scenes, the front of house, the actions of the management and the players and the role of support Superb, so far, just look at the figures for home games average at this club in this league and two or three leagues higher. Look beyond to some continuing success. So today is the day for you to make yourselves heard and bolster the playing side as only Bridgwater crowds in full voice can. Don't leave it all to 'Bes' though he'll lead from the side to be sure. We wish Welton well but not that well and relish another football match. Welcome then to players officials and supporters of both sides and to the refereeing team. Let's all have a god day.
Must record TK's commitment to the cause after the breakdown , the borrowed car, the m-way nightmare and still at Odd Down before the end of the half But how good also to have the likes of Soks stepping into a breach and doing just what was asked. Of such things are clubs with the right foundations producing strong teams and spirit to make it work. Forward we go
