Bridgwater Town reserves and Watchet Town fought out an entertaining draw in this top of the table encounter at Fairfax Park.
League leaders, Watchet, went ahead, against the run of play, when after 21 minutes ex Bridgee player Sean Kenny outpaced the Town defence down the left and placed a low left foot shot past Kevin Hurd.
Town got back on terms with a Sam Peppin shot after 29 minutes and then pegged Watchet back but were unable to break through again before half time.
The second half began with Bridgwater doing all the attacking and in the fifty first minute Howson was brought down by another ex Bridgwater player,Lee Nunn, in the area.Howson picked himself up and scored from the resultant penalty to give Town a deserved lead.
Kenny set up Watchets equaliser with another pacy run down the left before squaring the ball in the box after fifty nine minutes.
Town then pressed for a winner but wasted good opportunities.Twice they were awarded free kicks on the edge of the area but failed to beat the wall both times.
Deeks wasted a clear opening for Watchet when clean through as his hasty shot screwed wide with only Hurd to beat.
Watchet remained dangerous on the break but Hurd was never seriously troubled and Town finished the stronger but could not press home their advantage.
