Division One Midlands - Monday nights Beaconsfield SYCOB held on to their half time lead to record a 2-0 home win over Leighton Town and move seven points clear of the drop zone.
Twenty-four hours later, overnight leaders Hitchin Town raced into a two goal lead after twenty one minutes at Soham Town Rangers before slipping to a 3-2 defeat by means of a last minute own goal allowing Slough Town, who had to come from behind to win 2-1 at Arlesey Town, to take over at the top of the table. Bury Town slammed four goals in each half to record a resounding 8-2 home victory over second from bottom Barton Rovers while Burnham had to come from behind to win 2-1 at home against Chesham United with the winning goal coming just two minutes from time and leaving the visitors without a win for five games. AFC Sudbury lost 1-0 at home to a twenty fourth minute goal by Biggleswade Town but Romulus were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Woodford United.
