The covered seating capacity at Bridgwater Town FC’s Fairfax Park ground has been increased to over 300 after their new 162-seat stand was delivered on Friday 15th January. It took around two hours to lift the ready-made sections of the Arena Seating Ltd designed and built structure into place and complete the installation and thankfully the weather was good while the work was being carried out. The specially-designed concrete base for the stand has been in place for a year and now that the metal framework and seating are in place it brings the latest phase of development at Fairfax Park to an end.

The total cost of the project came to over £40,000 - almost half of which was down to the base which had to be designed to spread the weight over the underground drainage culvert that runs beneath the new stand. Funding for the project came from grants from the Football Stadium Improvement Fund, Sedgemoor District and Bridgwater Town Councils and donations from club supporters and sponsors with the remainder coming from club funds.
