A Nat Pepperell (pictured) penalty (given by the assistant referee) on 75 minutes gave Town the lead at Paulton with the home side equalising from a corner (given by the other assistant after the referee had pointed for a goal kick) four and a half minutes into stoppage time to share the points.

Town goalkeeper Tom Manley was so angry with the decision he said something he shouldn't have to the referee and was given his marching orders.

The Town players looked dejected as they trooped off after the final whistle but they shouldn't have as this was a performance full of character, commitment and no little skill.
The point gained was well earned and of far more use to Town than play off rivals Paulton who have played more games than Town.
Joint manager Craig Laird said after the game,"I am so proud of my players.This was a performance full of character and we more than matched our opponents on the night. This was a tough "derby" match full of good football by both sides.When you look at our budget and compare it against the other teams at the top it makes me so very proud of what we are achieving.It's been a very tough couple of weeks of late,and we have had one or two indifferent results but we have battled back and shown great character.I couldn't have asked more of my players. Against Paulton we knew it would be tough but we refused to be "bullied".We knew they would try and knock us out of our stride but we stood up to them and this was important.We now have a few days rest before the next "big" one against Frome on Saturday and we will need to show the same resilience at Frome as we showed here tonight."

Interest will now centre on tonight's clash at Taunton where Frome are the visitors.
